The Pursuit Is On

The pursuit is on....

Keep pursuing and let God keep undoing. In the undoing, He is renewing.

“Since these virtues are already planted deep within, and you possess them in abundant supply, they will keep you from being inactive or fruitless in your pursuit of knowing Jesus Christ more intimately.”

2 Peter 1:8 TPT

What is the undoing? Think about the progress and energy we put into things only to find out something was done wrong, and you have to go back and undo to redo. This happened to me this past week. I was putting together a new shelf to go behind my toilet, and when I was finished, I realized the top shelf was suppose to be at the back and not the front. As of today, it’s still in my living room waiting to be undone and redone. That isn’t going to be fun, but, in the undoing, He is renewing.

I hope time in this quarantine is pointing out some of our processes that need to be evaluated and some of our “priorities” that need to be removed from our lifestyles. The pursuit of happiness is an inside job. No job, person, or accomplishment will satisfy us like the touch of our Heavenly Father. The pursuit is to find your rhythm with the Heavenly Father and follow His leadings from within until you find your footing in the here and now.

This may take some trial and error, which may take years of trial and error to find your purpose or footing. Even so, it’s better than picking a job or relationship and saying it’s fulfilling, but feel no purpose in it and just stay for the principle of the thing. With Jesus as your guide, you will never feel stuck. You may not always understand, but stuck is not what you will feel. When your perspective is asking Him, “What are You trying to teach me or show me through this journey?” you are all in, because you know with Him you will always win. What do we win in the pursuit? HIS heart!! That’s the true pursuit of happiness. When you find His heart, you also find the source of all life. Happiness will rise. Joy will rise. Perspective will rise. Understanding will rise. Peace will rise. Kindness will rise. Thankfulness will rise.

For the Lord says,

“Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you.”

Isaiah 60:1 NKJV

He has risen!! And, He is telling you today that whatever you are in the middle of, call out to the risen King. He has the power to save. He has the power to heal. He has the power to reveal. He has the power to restore. He has the power to undo you until you can finally see the new you. It’s the new He is trying to restore and the new looks good on you.

Amen.

The new you can always bring a cheer and smile from ear to ear. Until next time, let God into your story until you can see His glory shining through and through for all to see the glory from Thee.
