I want to tell you a story. On September 30th of 2021, my son and daughter’s teacher found out her husband had Covid. As days passed, he started having some complications. The days ahead became a lot more serious. The doctors found lesions on his brain and lungs and a large mass on his colon. Cancer was found, in disbelief to all of us who learned of this report. It’s progressive, they said, and blood clots have been a big issue for getting treatments. Over the next two months, they had been in and out of the hospital. In that time, they went back to get the mass on his colon biopsy. When they did, the doctors couldn’t find it, but knew for certain it was there in the initial scans. BUT GOD! Colon mass was the first miracle. GO JESUS! 🙌🏼 Even after that breakthrough, Hospice was still activated, yet something more than peace came. We at Rock Church believe in supernatural miracles and so we pray in that direction through faith. This video below is what happened last week at their last doctor’s appointment. Sometimes our healings come in a progressive way, meaning over time, not in an instant. We will not relent on Billy’s behalf, for we are standing with his better half. 😉 Please stand with us and pray for his full restorative healing. If you feel an unction to pray, please do so. 🙏🏼❤️
His line at the end of the video got me thinking. We’re on the road to a cure! This week also has been the Daniel fast within our church and the last three days was a pure fast.
UNBELIEF HINDERS HEALING is the title of this part of scripture in The Passion Translation:
“They came to where a large crowd had gathered to wait for Jesus. A man came and knelt before him and said, ‘Lord, please show your tender mercy toward my son. He has a demon who afflicts him. He has epilepsy, and he suffers horribly from seizures. He often falls into the cooking fire or into the river. I brought him to your followers, but they weren’t able to heal him.’ Jesus replied, ‘Where is your faith? Can’t you see how wayward and wrong this generation is? How much longer do I stay with you and put up with your doubts? Bring your son to me.’ Then Jesus rebuked the demon and it came out of him and the boy was instantly healed! Later the disciples came to him privately and asked, ‘Why couldn’t we cast out the demon?’ He told them, ‘It was because of your lack of faith. I promise you, if you have faith inside of you no bigger than the size of a small mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, “Move away from here and go over there,” and you will see it move! There is nothing you couldn’t do! But this kind is cast out only through prayer and fasting.’”

There are mountains families in this house and beyond are facing—incurable diseases. BUT FAITH CHANGES EVERYTHING. A quote from Havilah Cunnington’s new book Discovering and Activating our Spiritual Gifts says, “Faith is the ability to demonstrate your belief in something that is invisible and impossible by acting as though it is visible and totally possible.”
Our church moto is FAITH. FAMILY. FUTURE. When you activate your faith, it not only changes YOU, but the families around you, which leads to their futures being changed. It’s Generational. It’s Relational. It’s Supernatural. This story is connected to prayer and fasting. Some healings can’t be captured without it. Well, when do you know? For some, they fast periodically to stay connected to the current of the Holy Spirit. For others, they set aside more time to seek the Lord for a particular circumstance to get the mind of Christ. Whatever your flavor, it’s all going to be a benefit to your daily walk with Christ and also increase your sensitivity to the Spirit inside.
What healing are you believing for this year?
Healing is something that has to be received! You can’t think your way to healing. Healing restores things back to its original design. Are you in need for restoration? Mind? Body? Spirit? Maybe in Relationships?
Here at Sending and Mending, we believe in holistic healing, meaning we look at all parts of our being for restoration and wholeness. Mental. Emotional. Spiritual. Physical. I am in the process of learning some of all these aspects of the healing journey. One thing is for sure, that the best healer is our Creator. He is the only one who truly knows our original desire. And that continues to give me hope that everything is going to be alright.
