HEART: Attain

A- Attain

The meaning of attain is:

1. to succeed in achieving (something that one desires and has worked for).

How do we attain when we feel so detained in our present circumstances?

You attain by choosing to make new memories today with the hope for your future tomorrow.

Jesus will provide more for you along the way. Don’t focus on the detaining, but focus on the attaining. Anticipate what is to come instead of dreading what lays in front of you.

Ask your heart, “How do I see what You see, God?” Take a moment to journal what your heart has to say.

I can see to attain more...

More goodness.

More kindness.

More love.

More patience.

More laughter.

More creative ideas.

More adventures.

More walking.

More talking.

More feeling His presence all around us.

More victories.

We are surrounded by the Lord’s victory and power. Victory is within us. Victory is our inheritance as sons and daughters. Victory is in our song. Victory is in our shout. Victory is in every heartbeat.

“Yet even in the midst of all these things, we triumph over them all, for God has made us to be more than conquerors, and his demonstrated love is our glorious victory over everything!”

- Romans 8:37 TPT

“Some find their strength in their weapons and wisdom, but my miracle deliverance can never be won by men. Our boast is in the Lord our God, who makes us strong and gives us victory!”

- Psalms 20:7 TPT

I love the lyrics to the song below that explains this point so well.

See a Victory by Elevation Worship:

The weapon may be formed, but it won't prosper

When the darkness falls, it won't prevail

'Cause the God I serve knows only how to triumph

My God will never fail

Oh, my God will never fail

I'm gonna see a victory

I'm gonna see a victory

For the battle belongs to You, Lord

I'm gonna see a victory

I'm gonna see a victory

For the battle belongs to You, Lord (oh yeah)

There's power in the mighty name of Jesus

Every war He wages He will win

I'm not backing down from any giant

'Cause I know how this story ends

Yes, I know how this story ends

I'm gonna see a victory

I'm gonna see a victory

For the battle belongs to You, Lord

I'm gonna see a victory

I'm gonna see a victory

For the battle belongs to You, Lord

Gonna worship my way through this battle

Gonna worship my way through

You take what the enemy meant for evil

And You turn it for good

You turn it for good

How do we worship our way through this battle?

Rick Warren mentioned this truth about worship in his book a Purpose Driven Life: “Worship is a lifestyle of enjoying God, loving him, and giving ourselves to be used for his purpose. When you use your life for God’s glory, everything you do can become an act of worship.”

So, let’s worship and attain all He has for us. There is a victory story set before us. Worship is a part of that story. The battle belongs to the Lord and we know who wins in the end. If it’s not good, it’s not the end of the story. He will turn our story into glory, one surrendered moment at a time.

My heart quote for today is, “God gets the glory for every uncommon story.”

“So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God.”

Romans 6:13b NLT

I hope you are enjoying this HEART postured blog series. Next week, I will be writing on R for Radical. Breathe easy my friends. God is alive and on the throne. And, remember to always bring your cheer and smile from ear to ear.
