Heritage or pedigree is not the connector to our divine destiny. This thought found me this past week and everything below poured out after.
It’s God’s love and our surrendered hearts that connects us to our eternal bloodline. That bloodline has an eternal blueprint that was written since the beginning of our growing fetal hearts. We might feel like we don’t have anything to offer because we didn’t get this or that growing up. We don’t feel qualified. We don’t feel acceptable to be used by Him. It’s almost like we feel more accepting of being abused by Him. But, that’s not who He is!! He’s not an abuser, and He’s certainly not your abuser.
You see, Jesus took the abuse for all of mankind’s future sins. The cross was the fusion/connector of love transference into our present and future existence. Our pedigree will never be our winning ticket into eternity. It’s His blood-shed, which still bears witness today, that guarantees we will one day see each other and Him face to face.
Salvation is not just about getting our ticket into heaven. Salvation has a component that goes much wider and much deeper. Salvation is an energy that can heal us deep down into our bones, to all the places that nobody knows, and where all the secrets go. The abuse, neglect, verbal and emotion wounds, bruising, and all the hiding of the secret bottles of pills, bills, and secret thrills. 🥹
I just have to speak to you here today.
I’M SORRY FOR WHAT HAPPENED IN SECRET.
I’M SORRY THEY DIDN’T BELIEVE IT.
I’M SORRY YOUR FAMILY NEVER UNDERSTOOD HOW TO HANDLE YOUR HEART.
I’M SORRY YOU FEEL BROKEN AND KIND OF PULLED APART.
I’M SORRY NOBODY CAME TO YOUR DEFENSE.
I’M SORRY YOU HAD TO GROW UP BEFORE IT WAS TIME.
I’M SORRY YOU NEVER FELT SAFE TO CRY.
I’M SORRY FOR THE VOICES THAT CALLED YOU:
A BIG BABY
LAZY
STUPID
SELFISH
CRAZY
MENTAL
A WASTE
BROKEN
A MISTAKE
AN ACCIDENT
A PROBLEM
UNRELIABLE
A LIAR
TOO SKINNY
TOO FAT
TOO THIS OR TOO THAT
YOU SEE, THIS VOICE IS THE ACCUSER, THE FATHER OF LIES. HE HAS BEEN THE REAL ABUSER OF ALL OUR LIVES.
It was never your Heavenly Father’s voice. The error has always been in human choice. He cries for you and what you have endured. His heart wants to protect, but because of human choice, some things have to happen, even hard things like neglect. You did the best you knew how with what was available, and your capacity to grow and learn is also a factor too.
Now, with that said, I believe we serve a God who anticipates our return into our divine destiny, with the hope of Holy Spirit’s discernment. This is a new type of learning, for it’s more of an internal sensory kind of maturing. We were created in His image, and so your face and coloring is a part of Him too. Why am I saying all this? Back to our pedigree. When you watch the Thanksgiving dog show, they talk about all the different fully breaded animals and their traits and makes of bloodline. And that’s about as far as I can communicate about animals and their mates. I hope you get the point. You can start to believe there’s a hierarchy in this life. If you’re not born with it, then forget about it. Or, your family better have money. Or…you fill in the blanks. We get it from all over through the noise of social media, other media, family, even our own voice at times. This is common from the world’s perspective, but what about an eternal perspective?
Let’s go to the book and take a look:
Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking, as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious. Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. Therefore it is also contained in the Scripture, “Behold, I lay in Zion A chief cornerstone, elect, precious, And he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame.” Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious; but to those who are disobedient, “The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone,” and “A stone of stumbling And a rock of offense.” They stumble, being disobedient to the word, to which they also were appointed. But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.

I always have to give you a second translation, for I never know which one will speak to you more personally.
So abandon every form of evil, deceit, hypocrisy, feelings of jealousy and slander. In the same way that nursing infants cry for milk, you must intensely crave the pure spiritual milk of God’s Word. For this “milk” will cause you to grow into maturity, fully nourished and strong for life — especially now that you have had a taste of the goodness of Yahweh and have experienced his kindness. So keep coming to him who is the Living Stone —though he was rejected and discarded by men but chosen by God and is priceless in God’s sight. Come and be his “living stones” who are continually being assembled into a sanctuary for God. For now you serve as holy priests, offering up spiritual sacrifices that he readily accepts through Jesus Christ. For it says in Scripture: Look! I lay a cornerstone in Zion, a chosen and priceless stone! And whoever believes in him will certainly not be disappointed. As believers you know his great worth—indeed, his preciousness is imparted to you. But for those who do not believe: The stone that the builders rejected and discarded has now become the cornerstone And A stone that makes them stumble and a rock to trip over. They keep stumbling over the message because they refuse to believe it. And this they were destined to do. But you are God’s chosen treasure —priests who are kings, a spiritual “nation” set apart as God’s devoted ones. He called you out of darkness to experience his marvelous light, and now he claims you as his very own. He did this so that you would broadcast his glorious wonders throughout the world. For at one time you were not God’s people, but now you are. At one time you knew nothing of God’s mercy, because you hadn’t received it yet, but now you are drenched with it!

All of this is to say, you deeply matter to the Father above. You are His treasure. He claims you as His own, and He loves to drench you in His love.

This one needs to be on repeat until you start to feel it penetrate deep down within your bones. For, we need to know this is our eternal heritage.
You are royal! You are regal! You are righteous! You are raw! You are real! You are resilient! Everything else you might identify yourself as can be surrendered to the Father, for He is here to heal you with His transforming love until you finally believe it’s real love. Amen.
