Can God? - Part 4

This is the final week for the Can God blog series.

Can God Find All My Shattered Pieces?

This is a type of pottery called Kintsukuroi and it has a special meaning. It is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold or silver lacquer. I love that the broken pieces look more beautiful than they were before.

This reminds me of a song as well. The song is called Pieces by Bethel and Amanda Cook (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Sg4O5dqzN68).

Unreserved, unrestrained

Your love is wild

Your love is wild for me

It isn't shy, it's unashamed

Your love is proud

To be seen with me

'Cause You don't give Your heart in pieces

You don't hide Yourself to tease us

Uncontrolled, uncontained

Your love is a fire

Burning bright for me

It's not a spark

It's not just a flame

Your love is a light

That all the world will see

All the world will see

That You don't give Your heart in pieces

You don't hide Yourself to tease us, no

You don't give Your heart in pieces, no

And You don't hide Yourself to tease us

Your love's not fractured

It's not a troubled mind

It isn't anxious

It's not the restless kind

Your love's not passive

It's never disengaged

It's always present

It hangs on every word we say

Love keeps its promises

It keeps its word

It honors what's sacred

'Cause its vows are good

Your love's not broken

It's not insecure

Your love's not selfish

Your love is pure

You don't give Your heart in pieces

And You don't hide Yourself to tease us

You don't give Your heart in pieces

'Cause You don't hide Yourself to tease us

You don't give Your heart in pieces

This song about sums it up. It’s from the perspective of what God’s heart is like. If you are feeling broken today and can’t find your way, listen to Pieces. It’s got a healing melody and it might just be the one thing that brightens your day. My motto is, “A song a day keeps the sorrows away.”

“What is the value of your soul to God? Could your worth be defined by an amount of money? God doesn’t abandon or forget even the small sparrow he has made. How then could he forget or abandon you? What about the seemingly minor issues of your life? Do they matter to God? Of course they do! So you never need to worry, for you are more valuable to God than anything else in this world.”

Luke 12:6-7 TPT

All your pieces matter to God. You are uniquely made and every part affects His heart.

If you need another song that attest to this, listen to Cory Asbury’s Sparrows: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dqLWnoEKjsw

Can God Heal Me So I Can Heal Others?

“Jesus said to them, ‘I suppose you’ll quote me the proverb, “Doctor, go and heal yourself before you try to heal others.” And you’ll say, “Work the miracles here in your hometown that we heard you did in Capernaum.” But let me tell you, no prophet is welcomed or honored in his own hometown.’”

Luke 4:23-24 TPT

I have heard and read this statement: Hurting people hurt people. So, I have to assume the opposite still applies: Healthy people heal people.

Being healed is a very subjective statement. For me, healing means a mind, body, and spirit rejuvenation. You can’t be totally whole until all three are in the flow. And, that takes self-awareness, being in God’s presence, talking with others, and praying with the Father. You can also add scarf dancing if you need to bring back the harmony, massages, walks, seeing new things, doing new things, reading new things, and singing new things. Maybe even read the Word in a new translation to see it anew. The breakthrough comes with doing things new.

We are creatures of habit. It’s safe and comforting, but at some point it brings a level of complacency. We have to do weekly self-checks. Take a few minutes to reflect. You never know what will be brought to your mind or felt in your spirit or your body when you ask. It might surprise you! I know it has surprised me many times over and I’m humbled every time.

Can God Bring Me Hope?

“So then, my soul, why would you be depressed? Why would you sink into despair? Just keep hoping and waiting on God, your Savior. For no matter what, I will still sing with praise, for living before his face is my saving grace!”

Psalms 42:5 TPT

If it worked for David, and he was known as a man after God’s own heart, it’s good enough for me. Here are a few more verses that speak on hope that I hope you will enjoy. ☺️

“Let this hope burst forth within you, releasing a continual joy. Don’t give up in a time of trouble, but commune with God at all times.”

Romans 12:12 TPT

“And now, God, I’m left with one conclusion: my only hope is to hope in you alone!”

Psalms 39:7 TPT

This reminds me of another song called You and You Alone from UPPERROOM: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=WHhCZBarneQ

“So it is impossible for God to lie for we know that his promise and his vow will never change! And now we have run into his heart to hide ourselves in his faithfulness. This is where we find his strength and comfort, for he empowers us to seize what has already been established ahead of time—an unshakeable hope! We have this certain hope like a strong, unbreakable anchor holding our souls to God himself. Our anchor of hope is fastened to the mercy seat which sits in the heavenly realm beyond the sacred threshold,”

Hebrews 6:18-19 TPT

“Your perfection and faithfulness are my bodyguards, for you are my hope and I trust in you as my only protection.”

Psalms 25:21 TPT

I hope these verses stir something up on the inside of you to awaken your spirit to His living Spirit Word. It’s breathing into you as you ingest it.

This has been a fun series. As I am inspired in my dailies, I will continue to write blog series that speak to me.

It’s Monday y’all!! So, have a ball. There is someone out there needing you to pass them a ball of joy today. Find them. Smile at them. Cheer for them. Help them see they were uniquely made and it’s been a good day. Hurray for Monday!!
